The FOSS XDS MasterLab™ offers pharmaceutical manufacturers a rapid, reliable test method covering the full array of solid dosage forms: layered, coated or cored tablets, capsules, caplets, geltabs and gelcaps.
The unique, patented XDS MasterLab optical design operates in both reflectance and transmission mode. The reflectance mode provides an analysis of the outside layers, whereas the transmission mode provides a representative whole body measurement of the dosage form.
The XDS MasterLab provides a non-destructive assay of individual solid dosage forms in less than one minute, even for multiple-constituent assays. The results are precise and correlate extremely well with standard compendial test methods.
Analysis with the XDS MasterLab requires no crushing, grinding, dissolution, or other types of sample preparation. Unlike wet chemical analysis, no solvents or reagents are required.
The XDS MasterLab streamlines solid dosage testing without compromising the results. The analyzer is a powerful QC tool for performing a range of tests such as identity, quality, assay, content uniformity, hardness, coating thickness and stability. The XDS MasterLab is designed and optimized for research and investigative work as well as batch and routine use in the laboratory or at-line.
